Michael Stock - African Eye Senior Advisor
Michael brings with him significant knowledge of humanitarian operations in East Africa based on his company's contributions to the region over the last few decades. In 2012, he was directly responsible for the rescue of two lion cubs from smugglers in Somalia, and assisted in their rehabilitation. Michael founded Bancroft Global Development in 1999 and has overseen its evolution from a humanitarian de-mining group into a comprehensive development and investment organization. He has directed Bancroft's projects across a spectrum of activities, from authoring US military doctrine on humanitarian mine action, to designing health, construction, and development initiatives in 28 countries throughout Africa, South Asia, Central Europe, and the Middle East.
He is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University and a fifth generation descendant of the investment bankers whose innovations provided inspiration for Bancroft’s methods and capabilities.
